Say what you want about American Idol and even the best singers out there today, but if you’ve never heard Lara Fabian, you’re truly missing an amazing voice. She’s been called “the love child of Barbra Streisand and Celine Dion”. As crazy as that sounds, it pretty accurately describes Lara Fabian’s voice. Ever since the first time I heard her voice, I’ve been a huge fan. My only disappointment is that Lara Fabian has never made a huge name for herself in the U.S. If you’re not familiar with Lara, you may recognize the hit she had several years ago called “I Will Love Again”.
I could post videos of her all day long here, but the one below of the song “Caruso”, which is an Italian aria, shows the depth of control, the passion, the range and the fantastic vocal tone of Lara Fabian’s amazing voice. Enjoy.
