This was the week of duets for Season 8 of American Idol. Allison Iraheta is voted off and only three talented guys remain, Kris Allen, Adam Lambert and Danny Gokey.

This week on American Idol, Matt Giraud gets voted off and the judges use their save to keep him in the competition. In my opinion, Kris Allen rises to the top with his rendition of “Falling Slowly”.

American Idol bids farewell to contestant Michael Sarver. Michael’s rendition of “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg” just didn’t cut it among the other contestants. He’s a good guy, but not quite the singer that the other 9 contestants on American Idol are.

Howard Cohen of the Miami Herald commented today on Alexis Grace’s departure:
“American Idol viewers cast aside the season’s most gifted contestant on Wednesday’s results show, the colorful Alexis Grace, and the judges foolishly didn’t use their one-time-only Save option. Shame. Idol’s left with a weak Top 10.”
